Australian Terriers are more easily trained than many other terriers. Although Australian Terriers love to bark, they are easy going and friendly with people and other animals. Australian Terriers travel well, are fairly inactive indoors, and do well living in an apartment. Australian Terriers like to be taken on a daily walk but should be kept on a leash since they like to chase things, especially squirrels.
